A modern research institute inspired by global knowledge centres at Stanford, MIT, and Berkeley
The Syed Shayan Institute for Real Estate Research is designed to serve
as Pakistan’s first contemporary research centre dedicated to the study
of land, housing, urban development, taxation, regulation, and property
markets. The Institute follows the standards of leading global institutions
such as Stanford University Spatial Analysis Research Lab, MIT Center for
Real Estate, UC Berkeley Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics,
Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies, and USC Lusk Center for Real Estate.
The mission of the Institute is to create a transparent, data-informed and
policy-relevant knowledge system for the real estate sector in Pakistan
that supports national development and informed decision making.
To establish Pakistan’s leading real estate intelligence platform where data, governance, markets, people and policy come together to enhance understanding and improve decision making at every level.
